Obituary.
On Friday last, at Banksia Hospital,  
the death occurred of Mr. W. L. Hecken-  
dorf, of 'Kia Ora,' Mullengudgery,  
aged 77 years. The deceased, who had  
been ailing for the past fifteen months,  
leaves a wife and family of three daugh-  
ters and six sons, most of whom reside    
near Girilambone and Mullengudgery.    
Mr. Heckendorf was a native of Ger-
many, and came to Australia at the  
age of seven with his parents, settling  
first at Adelaide, afterwards at Mel-  
bourne and Riverina (N.S.W.), subse-  
quently coming to Mullengudgery about  
1890, where he has resided ever since.  
The Heckendorf family are closely con-
nected with Methodist Church work,
and the Rev. A. G. Manefield conduct-
ed the burial service at the church and
cemetery.
