Will Kroncke, Adelaide panto
mime producer and costumes de
signer, who died suddenly in
Perth, was buried in Adelaide yes
terday.
Mr. K.roncke designed and made
many elaborate theatre costumes.
He also had a flair for panto
nime, and produced a number of
shows here between 1928 and 1935.
He wrote the scripts, made the
costumes, was director, and took
the comedy part of the dame.
At different times Mr. Kroncke
kept theatre shops in the Ade
laide Arcade and Rundle street
East.
Later he went to Melbourne to
do wardrobe work for J. C. Wil
liamson Ltd. He also played in
some stage shows there, eventu
ally becoming an assistant stage
manager for the company.
Finally Mr. Kroncke joined
Fuller's Theatres Ltd., and at the
time of his death was employed in
designing wardrobes at a theatre
in Perth. He was 42.
