Mrs. M. A. Norman-On Sunday a
very old resident, of Mount Gambier East
passed away, namely, Mrs. Mary Ann
Norman, relict of the late Mr. Ellis Nor-
man, of Glenburnie. The deceased lady
was born in England 93 years ago, and
came to South Australia with her hus-
band and four children in 1851. She came

to Mount Gambier with her husband and
family in 1865, and settled on the farm
between Glenburnie and Yahl that formed
their home for the rest of their life. Mr.
Norman died in 1890. The deceased lady
was well known by a large circle of
friends, and was highly esteemed and re-
spected by them. She leaves two sons—
Mr. G. Purkiss and Mr. H. T. Norman,
and two daughters—Mrs. R. Attiwill and
Mrs. H. Saunders, of Yahl. The funeral,
held on Monday, was numerously attend-
ed. The Rev. W. H. Cann conducted the
funeral obsequies.
