Mrs. Steinwedel, wife of Mr. A. W.
Steinwedel, of Woods, died on January 4,
at the age of 82. She was one of the oldest
find most highly respected residents of the
district, where she settled more than 50
years ago, and she, with her husband,
braved all. the hardships of outback life.
There were then no railroads or townships
near. She left a widower (with whom some
years ago she celebrated her diamond wed-
ding), two sons, six daughters, and five
grandchildren.
