The death occurred in Melbourne
recently of Mr. William Brent Sang-
er, of Wangamong. The late Mr.
Sanger was a son of the late Mr.
John Mildred Sanger, who with his
brother, Mr. Edward Sanger, were
amongst the earliest pioneers of the
Corowa district. The original Cor-
owa vineyard, now known as Linde-
man's, was planted by Mr. J. M.
Sanger away back in the fifties. Af-
ter became engaged in the viticul-
tural industry for some years he
took up a large area of land at
Wangamong, which was one of the
largest and most successful pastor
al properties in the Corowa dis-
trict. This property, under the late
Mr. W. B. Sanger's expert know
ledge of sheep breeding has become
noted a!l over Australia for the high
quality of stud rams that it pro-
duces.
Deceased leaves a widow and
family of one son (John M.) and
three daughters— Mrs. T. Millear,
Mrs F. Austin, and Miss Isabel
Sanger, to mourn their loss.

MELBOURNE, Monday.
Mr. William Brent Sanger, of Mangamong
Station, Saysvale, N.S.W., died In a private
hospital in Toorak on Sunday. Mr. Sanger
was a successful stud merino sheep-breeder,
and was a judge at many of the principal
agricultural shows. The remains will ba
cremated on Tuesday morning at the Fawkner
Crematorium.
