Mr. Arthur S. Scandrett

Mr. Arthur S. Scandrett, whose death
occurred at his residence, Largs Bay, on
July 28, was the youngest son of the late
Mr. Jamas Scandrett. His father was one
of the founders of The Kapunda Herald, of
which the deceased was part proprietor
until about seven years ago, when he was
afflicted with a severe illness, from which
be never recovered. He was well known in
business circles in Adelaide and the coun-
try, and was a strong advocate of the
claims of the provincial press. He was
fond of sport, and at one time was Secre
tary of the Kapunda Racing and Coursing
Clubs.
