91792A SUDDEN DEATH.

Mrs. Henrietta Polle, a resident of 51 years
in the colony, died suddenly on Saturday last.
The deceased, who was 77 years of age, was
engaged in picking apples in the morning, and
after dinner complained of feel ing unwell.
She stated her intention of takinga short rest,
and her daughter, Mrs. Hausen, on going into
the bedroom about an hour afterwards, found
ehe had just expired. The police were informed,
and Mr. J. Davids after investigation did not
deem an inquest necessary, and gave a certifi
cate for burial. The deceased had an
apoplectic stroke two or throe years ago. She
left Germany for South Australia about a year
after her marriage with her husband, who sur
vives her and is aged 79.
