OBITUARY

HENSELEIT.-Last week the death
occurred of Mr. Carl Wilhelm Hen-
seleit at the residence of his daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. F.
Voigt, of Winiam. Deceased was
born at Bilefeld, Germany, 87 years
ago, and went to the Mt. Gambier dis
trict when 25 years of age. He was
married to Miss Lange in April, 1882.
and resided for a period at Millicent.
but in 1880 he acquired land at Woorak
where he successfully carried on farm
ing operations until he retired to re
side in Nhill 14 years ago. He was
one of the oldest members of the Nhill
A. and P. Society, was an expert far-
mer, and took a keen interest in the
breeding of stock, of which he was
an excellent judge.
