SUDDEN DEATH AT VIRGINIA.

VIRGINIA, December 3.— On Saturday last
Mrs. Eliza Jarmyn, a very old and respected
resident of Virginia, died suddenly. She had
been about all the morning in apparently her
usual health, and at about 1 o'clock was stand-
ing in front of her house talking to her
daughter, Mrs. William King, when she fell to
tbe groond and expired almost immediately.
The deceased lady arrived in South Aus-
tralia by the Sultana in I85I with
her late husband, who predeceased her about
twelve years ago. She was 72 years of age and had
resided in the Virginia district nearly ever
since her imnl in the colony. The funeral
took place on Sunday, when a very large
number followed the remains to the Salisbury
Cemetarv. The funeral service was con-
ducted by the Rev. T. Ward, the incumbent
at the Church of England, of which body the
deceased was a most devoted adherent.
