TIEDEMANN.—In loving remembrance of our
affectionate father, Hermann Tiedeman, who
departed this life on 14th February, 1889, aged
55 years.

SUICIDE BY SHOOTING.
Inquiry into the cause of death of Herman
Tiedeman, who had been a farmer residing at
Pleasant Creek, about 25 miles from Young, on the
Bland Road, was held at his late residence on
Monday last, before Mr. S. Robinson, P.M.
(district coroner), and a jury of five. The following
evidence was adduced :— .

YOUNG, TUESDAY.
The body of a well-known resident of the district,
Mr. Herman Tiedeman, a selector of Bland, was
found on an adjoining paddock on Sunday last. Deceased
was missed from home on Thursday. Infor-
mation was given to the police, and a search was instituted,
leading to the discovery of the deceased by one
of his sons. When deceased left home on Thursday he
took a gun with him, as if intending to shoot hares.
From the position of the gun and the body of the deceased
there was no doubt that he committed suicide.
An inquest was held on the body, and a verdict of
suicide was returned.
