Mr Haub Senr.,Word was received in town 011Thursday of the death of Mr JacobHaub, of Pine Vale , Tubbul, atMolong Private Hospital, Sydney.The deceased, who was 69 years ofage, went to Sydney in his usualstate of health on Monday week,but on the Wednesday was seizedwith hemorrhage of the brain,which led to the whole of his rightside being paralysed. He becameunconscious and spoke no wordbetween that time and when hedied. He was a native of Ger-many, but eame to Victoria as ayoung man. Tie arrived in thisState when the gold fever was on,and came on to L,ambing Flat.Then he followed up other rushesat Forbes and elsewhere, after-wards coming back. to Young,where he married a sister of MrChris. Reus. lie went over toVictoria again and went in forfarming, but in !$S5 returned toYoung and took up land at Tubbulwhere he remained until a fewyears ago, when he retired andlived privately in Burrowa-street,Young. He reared a family offour sons and two daughters. Twoof the sons (Messrs Jacob andChris.) and one daughter (Mrs G.Cattle) are residents of this district.The others reside at Young, thesons (Messrs William and Louis)being on the farm at Tubbul, andthe daughter is married to Mr C.Tiedemann. The remains wereconveyed to Young and interred inthe cemetery on Friday afternoonlast.We extend our sincere sympathyto the relatives in their sad bereavement.
