OBITUARY.The remains of the late Mrs Maria
Tilka were laid to rest in the Kingscote Cemetery on Sunday morninglast, November 18th. There was alarge gathering of relatives and friendsat the graveside. Mr V. H. F. Cookread the burial service. The late MrsTilka who was about 90 years of agewas born at Brandenburg Germanyand with her husband, the lateMartin Tilka came out to Australiaduring 1876. in the sailing ship'City of Adelaide.' After residingat Klemiz and Riverton they camecame to live on the Island during theearly Eighties. They settled atCygnet River and the deceased con-tinued to reside there until her death.The family residing on KangarooIsland are Messrs G. A. and K. A.Tilka, Mesdames W. J. May, W. A.Boettcher and E. Burgess.
