23811Mrs. Henry
French who died at
Magill on August 8, at the age of 81
years, was an old pioneer of the north.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Campbell, of Roseworthy, and was
one of a family of eight daughters and two
sons. At an early age she was engaged
in school teaching. She was married at
Roseworthy in 186S. Several years were
spent in agricultural pursuits at Rose-
worthy, Freeling, and Gladstone, when
the family decided to take up a selection
in the northern districts in 1882, and
eventually acquired 'The Peppers,' at
Willochra, where she resided until she
went to Magill in 1916. Her husband
died 14 years ago. Mrs.
French was of
a most amiable disposition, a devoted
wife and a loving mother. She endeared
herself to a large circle of friends. The
deceased lady was a member of the Metho-
dist Church. Her family are:— Messrs. J.
