Mr. Johann August Thiele one of
the pioneers of the Loxton district, died
on December 25 in the Loxton Hospital,
at the age of 74. He was born at
Ambleside, and in 1904 engaged in
farming at Loxton, where he was one
of the first to prove its wheatgrowing
possibilities. His wife died last year.
The surviving members of the family
are:—Messrs. Carl Edwin Thiele, August
E. Thiele, and John August Thiele
(Loxton), Mesdames F. Kubisch, R.
Green. H. Yaerger (Adelaide), W.
Karstens (Loxton), and W. Hittmann
(Kingston).
