Another Old Colonist Gone. —

Mr. Carl Kroncke; of Kooringa,. quietly
joined the great majority on Tuesday
afternoon, the 5th inst, at the Burra
Hospital He had been feeling the
weight of age for some time before
his symptoms began to give unmistake-
able proof that his end was near, having
been laid up some time through failure
of his legs to do their work. Without
pain death resulted on Tuesday
afternoon at the ripe age of 81 years.
Deceased had been a resident in the
colonies for over 40 years, and was
amongst the first great crowd of gold
seekers that went to the Bendigo
diggings years ago. He leaves a
wife and two daughters in Kooringa.
