MRS. E. A. LINDNER

The death occurred at her home
last night of a very old and esteemed
resident of the Coolamon district, Mrs.
Alice Lindner, of 'Lindoris,' Tooyal,
after a long illness at the age of 68
years. She is survived by her hus-
band, Mr. Ernest A. Lindner, and one
son, Mr. Eric Lindner, of Tallimba.
Her funeral will leave her late home
at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon for
the Coolamon cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Alice Lindner,
of " Lindoris," Tooyal, who died at her
residence on Friday, after a long ill-
ness, at the age of 68 years, took place
yesterday, afternoon. The cortege,
which was a large and representative
one, consisted of relatives and friends
from Sydney, Walla Walla, Burrum-
buttock, Tooyal, Wagga, Millwood,
North Berry Jerry and Coolamon, and
moved from " Lindoris" after a very
impressive service conducted by the
Rev. W. Bennett, of Coolamon. The
interment took place in the family
portion of the Church of England
division of the Coolamon cemetery, the
Rev. W. Bennett officiating at the
graveside. The casket was carried to
the grave by Messrs. Eric Lindner
(son), L. Lindner (nephew), Frank
Lindner, Edward Zweck, W. Howell
(brothers-in-law) and O. Schilg
(nephew). The pall bearers were
Messrs. L. and Colin Dyce, Essel Tok-
ley, Alfred and Albert Armstrong, and
Keith and Theo Lindner (nephews),
and Oliver Hancock. The floral tray
with its many floral tributes was car-
ried by Messrs. Max Lindner, David
Schilg (nephews), W. Jones and Alfred
Zweck (brother-in-law). The chief
mourners at the graveside were the
bereaved husband (Mr. E. A. Lindner),
Mr. Eric Lindner (son), Mrs. A. Ran-
kin, of Corowa (sister), Keith, and Ray
Lindner (grandsons), Mr, and Mrs. W.
Howell, of Walla, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Lindner, of Burrumbuttock, Mrs. M.
Schilg, of Orelda, Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
ward Zweck, Alfred Zweck (brothers
and sisters-in-law). Max, Theo and
Elma Lindner (nephews and niece),
Messrs. O. Schilg and David Schilg,
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lindner, of Walla
Walla (nephews and nieces), and many
friends from all parts of Riverina
Among the many wreatns was a floral
tribute from the directors, shareholders
and staff of the Coolamon Co-op. So-
ciety Ltd. Present at the graveside
were Messrs. A. Armstrong, G. Bart-
lett, H. Lewis, Oliver Hancock, L. C.
Dyce (all directors of the Coolamon
Co-op. Society), Mr. J. M'Lean (man-
ager), and representatives of the
F. and S. Association, Messrs. L. C.
Dyce, Hancock, G. Bartlett, C. F.
Moller and E. Hancock. Mrs. Lind-
ner was married at Mongmony
(N.S.W.) and she was a daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sanger,
of Tooyal. she had resided in the
Tooyal district for 45 years and was
held in high, esteem by a wide circle
of friends. In addition to her husband
and son, she is survived by one sister,
Mrs. A. Rankin, of Corowa, and nine
grandchildren. She took an active
part in all church functions and
patriotic affairs, and all work for the
welfare of the district. The funeral
arrangements were carried out by Mr.
J. C. M'Donald, of Wagga.
