Mr. J. H. Unger

Mr. Johann Herman Unger, who
died aged 85, at Moorak recently, first
came to the Mount Gambier district
with his parents when three years of
age, and. spent the remainder of his.
life in farming pursuits at The Springs
and Square Mile. He was bom at
Bloomsburg, and was a son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Unger.

The death occurred on Thursday,

April 24, at Moorak, of Mr. Johann
Herman Unger after an illness of
about a fortnight.
Mr. Unger came to this district
when he was but three years old. and
took up farming at the The Springs and
Square Mile. During the latter past
of his life he lived with Mr. and Mrs
A. G. Unger, of Moorak. He was
possessed of a wonderful memory and
good eyesight, and was well known for
his good advice which was freely
given to many.
Mr. Unger had never before been
ill. Deceased was born at Bloom-
burg, near Adelaide, on January 28.
and was 85 years of age at the time of
his demise. He was a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Unger.
Mr. Unger was unmarried, and two
[brothers and one sister predeceased
him, They were the late Edward
Unger, of Square Mile, Gustav
Unger, of The Springs, and the late
Mrs. F. Sudholz, of Mount Gambier,
Two sisters survive , Mrs C. Gaden,
of Mount Gambier: and Mrs F.
Prygoda (Bertha), of Adelaide.
The Funeral was conducted at
Mount Gambier on Anzac Day ( April
25),Rev. E. Sprengel performing the
last rites. Mortuary arrangements
were in the hands of Mr. W. Pearce
