Mr. Friederick Unger, farmer, of Square

Mile, near Mount Gambier, died. Mr.
Unger was in his 83rd year, and had been
in indifferent health for some time. He
was born in Posen, Prussia, in 1822, and
on leaving school followed the trade of a
miller. Mr. Unger arrived in South Aus-
tralia in 1847, and shortly afterwards he
came to Mount Gambier, and purchased 180
acres of land at Square-Mile, his late resi-
dence. He was one ot the founders and
supporters of the Mount Gambier Lutheran
Church. The deceased left three sons
and three daughters. Mr. Unger out-
lived his wife by about 21 years
