MRS. A. M. UNGER
Mrs. A. M. Unger, an old and highly
respected resident of Mount Gambier,
and who died on July 23, was a daugh-
ter of the late Mr and Mrs B. Laube,
of O.B. Flat. She was born at Spring
ton, near Adelaide, in 1862, and came
to the South-East, by sea, with her
mother and brother in 1865, being then
a child of 3 1/2years. At Port Mac-
Donnell they were met by her father,
who had come overland previously with
his team, and had taken up land at
O.B. Flat, and the mother and her two
young children were taken to their new
home. In 1884 she was married to Mr
G. A. Unger, who pre-deceased her by
19 years. She had a family of two, a
daughter, Miss Pearl Unger, who died
some years ago, and a son, Mr F. H.
Unger, of the Springs. She also leaves
seven grandchildren. The funeral was
held on July 25. The Rev. E. Auricht,
St Martin's Lutheran Church, per-
formed the burial service, and Mr. W.
Pearce carried out the funeral arrange
ments.
