Robina Fordyce Mouat was born on 2 October 1855 in Lerwick, Shetland Islands - the daughter of Arthur Mouat and Martha Smith. She arrived in Australia with her parents and sister, Martha, in 1861 aboard the Commodore Perry.
She married Charles Bennett Glasson at Spring Hill on 12 October 1875. Charles, who was born 3 Dec 1838 in Kelso, NSW, the son of John Glasson and Ann Bennett, was then a widower with four children - Will (William Henry Clarke) (1866-1956), Bert (Albert Josiah) (1868-1959), Fred (Frederick Joseph) (1869-1959)and Ria (Frances Maria) (1872-1925). Robina and Charles were to have three children - Martha (1877-1878) and Charles Bennett (1878-1885), who died as children, and Emily Jane (1880-1967), who later married Ernest Carrol McCormack.
Will and Bert went to New Zealand ca. 1900 and were followed by Emily Jane and Robina, Charles and Maria.

Charles Bennett Glasson died on 4 February 1915 in Rororua, New Zealand and was buried on 6 February 1915 in Drury, South Auckland, New Zealand. Robina Fordyce died 10 May 1938 in Matamata, New Zealand and was buried on 12 May 1938 in Matamata, New Zealand.
