Master, from Bremen via Rio de Janeiro.
Passengers: Geo. St. Bruhn and lady; C.A. Sobels and lady ; Mrs.
Newmann ; F.A. von Voss; Friedolphus Witte; W.O. Gerke ; M.L.
Bodenmann; Emilius Wentzel ; Miss Lisinka Nehrlich; Ferdnd. Miller
and two sisters ; H. Heuzenroeder and sister; Thierry Friedhof;
Ferdinand Oswald; Miss Emma Sobels; George Drooge and Dr. Julius
Pabst, surgeon-superintendent in the cabin and 270 emigrants in
the steerage.
THE "BECKERATH," FROM BREMEN.
This German emigrant ship arrived on Wednesday afternoon with 294
souls. The passengers per Beckerath are from Saxony, Hanover,
Lippe, Hamburg, Bremen, Paderbuns, Rostock, Westphalia. Silesia,
Mecklenburg, Holstein, &c. Among the twenty-five in the cabin
are two architects, four merchants, a ci-devant military officer,
several gentlemen, a gentleman farmer, a mine manager, and (last,
not least) several ladies. The steerage passengers (originally
270) include two clerks, nineteen miners, thirty-four
agriculturists, and twenty-four mechanics. The number of souls
